This isn't merchandise. It's an archive piece, officially licensed, individually numbered, and closed for good once the last number is claimed. The tribute is to a show people still put on at one in the morning to fall asleep to, thirty years after it first aired.
The number is the product
999 pieces per character. Not "limited edition" as a marketing phrase but a hard cap, individually numbered, recorded against each piece. When the final number is allocated, the edition closes. No restock, no second run, no anniversary reissue. Piece 004 and piece 812 are not interchangeable, and that is the entire point.

Six characters, six editions. Your group already knows who's who, and has known for years. Somebody plans the trips. Somebody eats off your plate. Somebody has never once blended in and never wanted to.

An NFC badge is built into the piece. Tap it with your phone and it opens your artifact's authentication: your edition number, the story behind the design, and confirmation that what you own is real. A printed Certificate of Authenticity ships with it, along with an information card documenting the tribute. No app. No account. No blockchain. Just tap.
Most collectibles ask you to prove authenticity years later, from receipts and photographs. This one carries its proof inside itself.
Built to be worn, not stored
Regular fit, true to size, available across the full size run. The fabric was specified for colour that holds through years of washing rather than fading after a season. Wash cold at 30°C, air dry, iron inside out on low. No bleach, no tumble dry, no dry cleaning.
